Original Taste of Temanggung’s Coffee Getting Explored
TEMANGGUNG – In order to keep exploring original taste of Temanggung’s coffee, a handful of coffee-producers gather in Festival Kopi Temangung 22nd Temanggung’s Coffee Festival)which held in Gedung Pemuda Temanggung, Starting Friday (23/12) until Sunday(25/12).
This event will summarize the best coffee from various coffee farmer plantations that are located in multiple sub-districts in Gunung Sumbing, Sindoro, dan Prau.
Chairman of this event, Hamam Nasirudin, said it participants has been drawn into 32 booth. Hopefully it will introduce and promote the robusta and arabica coffee from Temanggung.
If market community knows this original coffee taste, surely it will raise the market value of this plant.
“Paticipants came from coffee-producers in Kabupaten Temanggung. Beside them, thera are also some buyer who come from outside Temanggung, such as Yogyakarta and Semarang,” he replied on Friday (23/12).
Head of BPC HIMPI Temanggung Mukhtar Hadi Purwanto say, Temanggung has great natural resources in Temanggung, including its coffee, so it must be maintained. Yet, these natural resources have to be combined with the quality of Human Resources so it can be an advantage for Temanggung citizen’s well-being.
Vice Regent of Temanggung, Irawan Prasetyadi, said that in order to support temanggung’s coffee existence on international market, the government will build real market in Germany, Malaysia, and Jakarta in 2017.
The building of real market are being use to sell Temanggung’s arabican and robusta patented coffee. According to him, beside coffee products, real market is also important to promote products from Temanggung’s Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM / Small Independent Enterprises).
“It concept would be like a store to promote UMKM products, such as coffee. The budget will be coming from APBD 2017, so it has to be done on that year. We hope that this would be a good step for coffee and other featured products from Temanggung”, he added. (Raditia Yoni Ariya/CN39/SM Network)
