Local Coffee Ready to Take on Foreign Market

TEMANGGUNG – Accompanied by Industry, Commerce, and Koperasi Service and also UMKM Kabupaten Temanggung, the Assemblage of Indonesian Youth Entrepreuners or Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia (HIPMI) once again held The Second Coffee Temanggung Festival or Festival Kopi Temanggung jilid II in Gedung Pemuda, three days around, 23rd to 25th of December 2016.

On this occasion, 32 participants booth, with a background as a coffee producers, races to promitee coffee quality from their own places. This event quite special because it has gain more market share. This has been proven by the buyer who came from Semarang, Jogjakarta and other big cities in Indonesia. “the previous event, which held in 2015, we successfully raise the local coffee. On that ground this second event is back”, says the head of event, Haman Masirudin on Friday (23/12).

Meanwhile, Chairman of BPC HNI Kabupaten Temanggung, Hedi Purwanto, said that the more famous of the coffee to other countries, the more we need to extend the human resources of it.

If not, these Natural Resources that can be found in Kabupaten Temanggung become a boomerang for the hope of the government, building a new economical base through superior coffee beans, arabica or robusta. “This Would be a good moment for Kabupaten Temanggung to raise their economics through coffee markets. As we can see, there are more and more young entrepreuners starting to involve in this business”, he added.

Moreover, through the Vice Regent of Temanggung, Irwan Prasetyadi, who also came to this event, local government claims to build real market in Germanyand Malaysia.

With the hope to increase the sales and expand the market of patented Temanggung coffee, “Besides coffee, we would also introduce other UMKM Kabupaten Temanggung to the market”, as he explained.
